We only stayed one night but it was the best night of my life. Joe and I are coming back here ever year for the rest of our long, loving lives together. We’ve never imagined a place so beautiful and we couldn’t help but loose ourselves in every moment. We loved it!!

I drove 500 miles to this absolutely idealic spot. As I walked through the door I said, “I want to live here”. This home is so charming – the hostess Sandy (my new best friend) delightful. The finches & grosbeaks paraded past my window; the deer gazed back at me and this gorgeous setting captured me.

This is our 2nd anniversary and our second visit to Woodland Trails. We feel so spoiled here! The details in every room are fascinating. We had a wonderful, relaxing time for our 5th anniversary. The weather was great to sit outside with the campfire & s’mores. We loved the bathtub, a.k.a. “The Pool”. Breakfast was mouthwatering great!

We absolutely adored the St. Croix Room to celebrate our honeymoon! We fell in love with Woodland Trails from the moment we entered. We loved playing with Lucky and Lady, who have the perfect temperament for this type place. We thoroughly enjoyed the huge, yummy breakfast and visiting with John & Sandy. We also had fun using the paddle boat and taking a day trip to Duluth.

P.S. Madden’s Steakhouse as a wonderful treat!

The stay here was more than we expected, from the great accommodations, the food, the conversations with both of you and the time spent on the trails. This was our 2nd visit to Woodland Trails. The place is just as beautiful as we remembered; Sandy & John are awesome hosts.

On this visit we took advantage of the golf carts, Geocaching (we found our coin!), paddle boat and a bonfire.

This is our second visit. Once again, John has been glued to the windows watching the deer and wishing they were this close during hunting season. Me, I enjoy all the simple beauty of nature that blankets your property. Since selling our hobby farm, I had forgotten the glint of the finch flying by or the majesty of the royal blue jay and his scolding call. Grace and peace to you.

When we pulled up to your beautiful house, we couldn’t believe such a wonderful place existed. This was the perfect place for our little honeymoon. We got dressed up and went out to Madden’s Steakhouse on the first night. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was romantic. On our second day we drove to Hayward to see the Lumberjack Show. It was fun; we’d recommend it to anyone. Thank you for having such a beautiful place here in the woods!
